CAT | Beer & Wine

I heard of this event for wine tasting that this organization is having. It really seems to be exclusive. They only have seats for 24 people and they charge 45 pounds per person. From what I understand they will be testing wine and sparkling wine. They have a guy called Matthew Jukes that will be there testing the wines and teaching the guests about some of the lesser-known sparkling wines available from around the world. I’ve heard this guy before and is really an expert on both wines and beer. I would really love to be able to be there that night, but I don’t think I’ll be able to get a ticket in time. I think I’m going to see if I can get a ticket the next time they have a wine testing like this one. I’ve never been to anything quite this fancy, but I’m sure that it would be a really great experience.

For true wine connoisseurs, a bottle placed in the fridge just won’t cut it. The reason is because wine is enjoyed not only by taste, but by the smell, or bouquet. If the wine is too cold, the full experience of the flavor will not be great. If the wine is warm, it will taste very alcoholic. It’s important that the wine is chilled at the right temperature for it to be enjoyed at it’s finest.

For instance, white wines and chardonnay is perfect at about 65 degrees, which is cool but usually warmer than a refrigerator. Other wines are better at a slightly cooler or warmer temperature. Using wine chillers as opposed to ice buckets or the refrigerator can allow you to get the temperature of your wine perfect. Electric wine chillers can actually be digitally programmed to cool your wine perfectly, and wine chiller sleeves can allow you to chill your wine to the perfect temperature as well.

Wine chillers are a great addition to your bar or home wine collection. They’re not as messy as an ice bucket and perform the job beautifully.
